Wurstfest

This weekend we went to Wurstfest, New Braunfels' 10-day salute to sausage! =) It's the Texas version of Oktoberfest, and after attending the real Oktoberfest in Munich for our honeymoon a month ago, in my humble opinion, Wurstfest is better for 2 key reasons:
  1. You don't need to be in a beer tent or beer garden to get a beer!
  2. The sausage comes on a stick, and you can get 5 different kinds on 1.

Isn't everything better when it's on a stick?? The top of the stick is mild sausage, then moves to spicier sausage when you make your way down. The last piece is a sweet sausage -- it tastes like brown sugar and cinnamon. Sounds weird, but it's great! Kind of like a dessert sausage.

Our pitcher of Shiner Bock. Yum.

Cory's partial to the turkey legs.

Our area in Texas has a ton of food festivals when it gets warmer (from around April to November), so I'll keep you posted when we go to any!
